Why “Forest Cat Imaging?” In 2012 an abandoned black Norwegian Forest Cat emerged at night from the dark woods of Leverett, Massachusetts. He may as well have been a black bobcat.

He took over the property, haunting the owners, attacking their dogs, and begging for food. He was taken into foster care and ultimately adopted by a local graduate student. While this 20 pound black beast continued to bite and sometimes revert to his feral self, he learned to trust, and to give and accept love. He was a force of Nature for 10 years before lymphoma took him in 2020. He is known for biting dogs, people (including a police officer), cornering people as he readied to attack, but eventually also known for gentling tapping his person on the chin to wake them up, and taking long naps sprawled out in his human dad’s arms.

His spirit and memory live on.
